Last week David & I took a drive to Pasadena and visited Huntington Gardens... what a beautiful place. Very serene... 

So my cross-country trek is over, and many adventures were had. I'm drowning in a sea of boxes, but at least my life has followed me to California. To top it off, my kitties, Sydney and Siouxsie flew in this Tuesday.... wahooo!!!! It's such a joy to have them here with me -- it was a very long 6 months without them.

Sorry I haven't been updating as much as usual -- I've been so busy trying to unpack all of my stuff (and sell a lot of it on eBay!!) and bonding with my kitties that I just haven't had time... but stay tuned -- I have a lot to share over the next couple of days!! Meanwhile, here are some more pictures!!

For some reason, the flash on my new camera doesn't want to work... that's ok -- David calls this our "rock star" picture... well, we were in Vegas.... :) 

Can't wait to get back for my birthday in 4 weeks........ I mean come on... swim-up blackjack? Beautiful people? A waterslide... and NO kids?!? It's decadence and debauchery for grownups - yayyy!!!

The Grand Canyon. The world is a wild, wonderful, exciting, never ending adventure... go now. See it. Enjoy your world, not just your cubicle.

This is the ledge we were on from the rim of the canyon... kinda puts it a little more into perspective. And, I might add, an absolutely beautiful place to share with my mother... 

This is me out on a ledge where we scattered some of my Mama's ashes... she would have freaked if she saw me out there!! It was truly amazing, though...

The Grand Canyon. If you haven't been there, this is amazing. No words, really. If you have been there, you know this is a pretty crappy picture and doesn't even come close to doing it justice...

I spent the first night on the road in lovely Memphis, Tennessee -- so of course I had to swing by the home of the King!! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to go in for the full tour -- but it sure looks cool from the sidewalk! :)
