Vegas rocks... but you knew that already ;) I loved my fabulous Hard Rock pool rest time... can I go back now?
I got to go do ADR (looping) on "2001 Maniacs" today -- hung out with the fabulous Scott Speigel, and even got to meet Bill McKinney, who has a cameo in the film. Ok, you don't know him by name, do you? Well, if you've ever seen "Deliverance," I'm sure the sound of a pig squealing might jog your memory some ;)
Looks like they have about 7 1/2 more weeks of post-production and we might just finally have ourselves a movie!! There's a rumor that the premiere will be at the Egyptian Theater which would be awesome... David lives right around the corner, so if we get a limo, we'll have to do figure-8's in the neighborhood to get our money's worth!
Evidently there's a big write-up on the film in this month's Dark Side, a UK horror magazine - I don't think the issue has hit newsstands in the States yet, but keep your eyes open.
More later -- in the meantime, enjoy some pictures of our trip to the Getty!!
Namaste...

I just realized I haven't told you about my newest obsession... forget doughnuts (I know!!) -- I'm addicted to Big Ed's Super Saucers. It's an ice cream sandwich made with two chocolate chunk cookies and vanilla ice cream... I've had a lot of ice cream sandwiches in my day, and this one rocks them all -- run, don't walk to your local 7-11 and get you some!!! There are no imitations....

In the immortal words of Salt-n-Peppa, here we go, here we go, here we go a-gain!! Yup, I'm baaaack!! Ok, where to start? I finally got the call to do ADR work on 2001 Maniacs (for those of you out there in TV-Land, that's also called "looping," or dubbing in voices where the sound didn't work so well). This is a good thing -- we might actually have a movie here soon!!! If I haven't posted this link before, here it is -- check here often for 2001 Maniacs updates!
If you happened to catch an epsode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, or The Tonight Show, or Good Day L.A. yesterday where they featured carved-soap busts of Ellen, Jay & the Good Day folk, you can thank my roomie, Elana, for delivering those damn things realllly freakin early yesterday morning. Ahhhh a publicist's assistant's dream life.... ;) She did get to meet Jay Leno, tho...
So back to my celeb-spotting... erstwhile naked chick Elizabeth Berkeley (Saved by the Bell, Showgirls) has been coming in a lot with Scott Foley (Felicity)... I've seen Queen Latifah (David got to wait on her.... again), Steve Harvey as always, Miss Tyra and her gang from America's Next Top Model (got to serve her myself again -- cool bunch of folks), Lisa Simpson herself - Yeardley Smith (who I actually saw knitting in front of the bookstore nextdoor before she came in), Johnny Depp's brother (swear -- and they look exactly alike - only this one's about 25 years old... go get 'em girls!), Jackie Collins again, Kathy Griffin, and Ocean's 11's Scott Caan - who I waited on myself (very cool dude), and didn't quite recognize under his beard. When he came back the next day clean shaven, he looked even less like himself ;) Catch his profile, tho, and the family resemblance shines right through.
I had the surreal experience of seeing Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Taxi) dining by himself when I stopped in for some take-out Thai food -- kinda cool!
I'm drowing in my own stuff. Seriously -- I have so much stuff and I'm not quite sure how to get out from under it. Thank goodness for eBay -- there just aren't enough hours in the day to get all my stuff listed!! I don't think we realize how much our things can run us and rule us and own us - instead of the other way around. I'm tired of being owned by my things and I want liberation... but I'd like to keep my computer and my tv and just a couple of knick knacks here and there... but everything else can go. Except my motorcycle. And some cd's. And my stuffed Scooby Doo. You know what I mean. ;)
We went rollerblading along the beach again yesterday (it's been entirely too long since I've worked out -- with no workouts and copious amounts of Big Ed's Super Saucers and beer, my pants don't fit so well!!) -- what a beautiful ride!! We went from Temescal Canyon down to the Santa Monica Pier.... I'm sure it'll get easier as I do it more, but that little bit kicked my butt. I'm hoping to work up to getting all the way to Venice and back...
I'm off to Vegas again on Tuesday for my birthday -- the Hard Rock, of course -- for a few well-deserved days of sun and tasty adult beverages. For the record, this is my 26th birthday. Seriously. That's my story, and I'm stickin to it. Must I remind you this is my world, and I make the rules -- you're just enjoying the ride ;)
The Emmys are rolling into town this weekend, right in David's backyard... I think I may just avoid the fray. I promise I'll be all up into the Oscars, tho -- won't let you down there ;)
Hang tough, cats & kittens!! Namaste...

I learned some very important things yesterday... First, you cannot simply sit on the beach at night in Santa Barbara and gaze longingly at the ocean... you can, but you'll find yourself gazing longingly at a line of oil refineries. Wow. Tres moving. Second, you cannot go to Santa Barbara and see Michael Jackson dancing on his car just any old time. I guess it's not an every day occurance. Third, you cannot go to Santa Barbara and buy a postcard featuring Michael Jackson dancing on his car in front of the Courthouse... seems that's something the good citizens would rather us forget. Hmph. Fine, I'll just have to make a line of postcards myself: MJ on his car, OJ out to dinner in Miami, Ray Lewis cruising Buckhead in Atlanta... it's a million-dollar idea, I tell ya!
More later ;)
Namaste

Helllooooooo!!!!! Miss me? I missed you!!!! Seriously, we've got a lot to talk about here! I may have to cut it short tonight, but if I do, I promise I'll be back on Wednesday... with more good stuff to tell! First off -- and I know I'm jumping over a few weeks' worth of stuff here -- I waited on baseball legend Tommy LaSorda yesterday... what a joy!! He is baseball... and just a wonderful human being. He hooked me up with Dodger tickets, so we're off to the stadium tomorrow to see them take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ok, I'm simplifying here. Tommy LaSorda offered me tickets to whatever game I wanted to attend. I didn't know what to tell him, since I didn't have the schedule in front of me. So, he gave me his cell number and told me to call him... yes, kids and kittens, I called Tommy LaSorda and I'm goin' to the ballpark (and I'm takin' David with me lol). I'm pretty freakin excited, if you ask me. ;)
So... over the last few weeks I've seen a bunch of folks, and here goes: Norm MacDonald (but he comes in so much it's hardly an event), Scott Foley and Elizabeth Berkeley, Brandy, Eric Palladino (ER), Queen Latifah (David waited on her), Steve Harvey (another regular)... crap, gotta run -- promise I'll finish up - there's a lot more to tell!!!
Life is beautfiul, be sure you're living it. Love, laugh, and relax -- it's just a ride.
:) Namaste
