What time is it? I said... what time is it? Everybody, have you heard? Ok, ok.... I'm under the spell of the Time -- Morris Day & the Time, that is! Mr. Day and his man Jerome were in the restaurant on Tuesday -- bwaaaaaahhhahahahaahhh!!!!

Ahem, I have regained control. ;) Yes, yesterday was "The Price is Right" day... and alas, I did not get to "come on down." Oh well -- it was really cool anyway -- you should definitely go if you're in L.A. (I'll go again -- it's so much more fun with a group!!). If you'd like to tune in and spot me in the audience, you'll get your chance on May 12th (check local CBS listings).

Check out this week's People magazine (with the Olsens on the cover) -- there's a picture of Angelina Jolie pushing her son (Madison?) in a car-stroller --- in the mall right outside my restaurant! Speaking of my mall -- there seem to have been terroristic threats to the Westside L.A. malls today - pretty freaky!! I'm used to it - malls in Atlanta were "targeted" over the 4th of July a couple of years ago - but it's still both unnerving and annoying. Glad I had the day off ;)

Well, I'm off to find another game show to target -- I'm gonna win somethin someday!! ;)

Back to work last night after a couple of days in Phoenix - no celebs then, or tonight, either. However, on my way out to move my car on Tuesday morning, I passed one Ms. Diana Ross walking through the mall with her coffee. All I could think of was Maya Rudolph's scathing SNL impersonation -- I was afraid I'd laugh and Ms. Ross would beat me senseless!! Man, she's got a lot of hair.

Well, gotta work in the am, and I'm still beat from my week --

To sleep, perchance to dream ---

Good evening to you all!! First off, I apologize for the lack of a link to Tim Sullivan's interview on Upcoming Horror Movies -- go to UpcomingHorrorMovies.com and click until you find it -- it's great!!

Light on the celebrity front today -- Eric Benet (albeit a beautiful man, he will always and heretofore be known as "the man who cheated on Halle Berry")... but he's got a great smile! :)

My roomie suggested I write a one-woman show about my mother and her journey with cancer... and I think it's a great idea. I've been basing all of my monologues on the experience, both dramatic and humorous... let's see what happens, shall we? Any of you who know the "lube" story will see where I'm going with this ;)

One more week till The Price is Right -- any and all helpful hints are appreciated!! I can only go on one game show per year (and only 3 in a 10-year period), so I've gotta make this one count. That reminds me -- Dad, it's been 17 years since the Wheel of Fortune -- you should come out and try your hand on TPIR!!

I'm off to bed, to work, and then....

Wendy - out! ;)

Hello, my people!! Sorry I've been away -- been busy workin and playin a little, and trying to get some sleep (mostly unsuccessful on that front). Anyway, today was a celebrity-free day, and I tell ya, it was kind of nice. I'm busy at work -- I don't have time to be ogling celebs - I've got a job to do!! ;) Just kidding -- ok, now for the update. On Thursday, I had the privilege of waiting on one Gary Collins. Ok, let's see how old you are -- remember Gary Collins? Sure ya do -- you just don't want to admit it!! Anyway, he was very nice and was dining with his daughter Clancy (great name). Friday, Kathy Bates stopped by to dine -- WOW. She's just amazing! I have to say, after "Misery," I'm a little afraid of her (of course Dan says he can't get "About Schmidt" out of his mind lol). And, for you "Sex and the City" fans (or for you men, "L.A. Law") - Blair Underwood was in yesterday. Yummy. Ahem -- sorry. Ok, so there's some debate as to whether or not that was actually him, so if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Underwood on Saturday, please let me know.

I'm thinking nasty thoughts about all of you in the warmer climes right now -- it's freakin cold here!! I've been duped, I tell ya -- I was under the impression that Southern California was a warm place to live... ahhh nuts. Oh well, I suppose it'll warm up eventually.

Check out this link for an interview with "2001 Maniacs" director Tim Sullivan: Upcoming Horror Movies. I took the picture of Tim with John Landis!

Also check out this month's issue of Fangoria magazine for a great article on the movie, plus a new picture of Robert Englund as Mayor Buckman!

Well, that's it for tonight, disco kittens... gotta work in the am!

Oh yeah -- if you're in L.A., check out my friend Suzanne Whang at the Improv this Tuesday!

;) Later gators --

Trying to get the bugs worked out here... doncha love computers?

Anyway -- off to Vegas for Mel's wedding -- wahooooo. Don't you go worrying about me losing all my money at the tables -- don't have any to lose!! ;)

However.... I AM going on The Price is Right on Monday, so maybe I'll win the Showcase Showdown!! Wish me luck...
Does Byron Allen still count as a celebrity?

Almost forgot.... I also waited on a friend tonight -- Steven Sorrentino, an amazing comedic talent I met at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival was in town for a show this week -- if you're ever in Vegas, check him out!!! He's truly hysterical... his show is an amazing blend of impressions and multi-media -- wonderful all around!

Small world, indeed...
So I've decided that since this crazy City of Angels is chock full of celebrity-types, and it's wayyyy uncool for me to be all ga-ga about it in public (and especially in my restaurant - no good for tha bidness to fawn over the guests lol) -- this shall heretofore be my *official celebrity fawning forum*, ie: the place I get to be all bejiggety about stars and can't get busted for it :) So, you MUST play along. This is my world, you're just visiting.

So make with the good stuff, you say? Ok, I shall!!! On Friday, the last table I "waited on" (I'm in training, so although I took care of the table, Marin took care of the tip lol) was one Ms. Tyra Banks. She was cool -- that girl can eat when she wants -- no worries about that here. She spent her time dishing about behind-the-scenes of the last season of "America's Top Model." Ok, since we're close here, I can admit I was completely addicted to that show.... and was soooo happy Yoanna won!! Don't hate me cuz I enjoyed reality tv.... and I won't admit I actually watched "The Littlest Groom." Ooops, guess I just did. Anyway, Ms. Banks was nothin but sweet and nice -- Miss Thang got it goin on every which way, and a very nice encounter.

According to rumor, former SNL member Norm McDonald hangs in my restaurant nightly.... haven't seen him yet tho.

I should tell you at this point that my restaurant is on Santa Monica Blvd., verrrrrry near Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and Wilshire -- a mecca for the famous and beautiful.

On Wednesday after work, I passed one Snoop Dogg on Wilshire Blvd... no pimp mobile that day, just the family Mitsubishi...

And tonight, who should walk in to the rest. but Paulie and Paul Teutil, Sr. Aieeeeee!!!! For those of you NOT in the know, these guys have a great show on the Discovery Channel called "American Chopper." They own Orange County Cycles in New York, and they build amazing bikes -- they're also a supremely dysfunctional (read: good tv) family. You may also know them as the guys in the AOL Broadband commercials, sending little brother Mikey back to the renaissance.... I was actually giggly when I saw them walk in ;)

So, enough for tonight. I'm plugging away here in L.A., trying to get settled and workin' it all out.

Rock on with your bad selves.... ;)

Crap. Unloaded half my brain and accidently closed the window without saving it. Isn't it always the way? Anyway, I'm baaaaaack! I've been busy this week being sick (hacking a lung every other hour or so), "moving" (I say "moving" cuz I only have a bunch of clothes and random stuff - barring my airbed, I have no actual furniture per se), and training for my new snazzy job -- hardcore, but maybe I'll actually make some money here soon.

So, *whew*, here I am. Cozy in my new, really big, furniture-less apt, waiting for my cold to eventually let me live again, prepping for my best friend's wedding, and studying my butt off so I can emerge from training and actually make some money next week -- I might just go crazy buyin stuff..... groceries, headshots, furniture on CraigsList... wahoooo watch me go :)
